We have some big news about the new anime series Magical Girl Destroyers! It has been over a year since the series was announced, and now we have an official trailer, along with the huge announcement that a mobile game based off of the anime will be releasing as well! Dates have not been officially released, but both should be coming early 2023 from what we are hearing.
The mobile game, titled Magical Girl Destroyers KAI, will be a free mobile game featuring the team of girls from Magical Girl Destroyers and you as the player taking lead as Otaku Hero, the fanboy turned leader in the series. The pre-registration for the game will open on February 1st and they will update us with an official launch date (currently only anticipated to be released in Japan) sometime later this year.
The game is based off of the anime, and will revolve around you as Otaku Hero leading your team of girl fighters into various battles. So far they are just featuring the three main girls from the series, but more game-exclusive girls are in the works to be released and later announced. Peace, who is the first character exclusive to the game, is voiced by Sumire Uesaka. The game's theme tune will be "Rebellion," a new song by Uesaka from her upcoming album LOVE CRAZY.
The game should be very comparable to the show, so it will be fun to compare the two once both are released publicly.

Magical Girl Destroyers is a dystopian science fiction novel that follows the misadventures of Otaku Hero, a young revolutionary who adores otaku culture, and Anarchy, Blue, and Pink, a trio of magical girls who look up to him. The novel is set in a near future in which otaku culture in Japan has been eradicated by a mysterious organization known as "SSC." They battle to build "a world where you can speak what you like about what you like as much as you like" together.
The anime will be directed by Hiroshi Ikehata and animation production will be done by Bibury Animation Studios. The anime series is set to be released early 2023, but no official date has been released as of right now. We will be sure to keep you updated as we get more information!
