In the U.S., there are a number of anime conventions celebrated each year in nearly every state.  However, the conventions that attract the largest annual draws are Anime Expo, Otakon, A-Kon and Anime Boston.  This should be a welcome announcement for NYC anime fans as the New York Anime Festival was absorbed by the New York Comic Con in 2012.

Titled Anime NYC, the convention will present exhibits, screenings, panels and celebrated Japanese anime and manga creators.  Tickets will go on sale this November.

You can check out more details on the convention's official website - http://www.animenyc.com/.
