While 2020 has gone down in history as one of the most negatively impacted years ever, there were still some silver linings. In celebrating the positive, Crunchyroll has finally announced when to expect the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
The event will feature some of the best content to have come from Japan and the streaming service in the past year and includes shows like Great Pretender, Jujutsu Kaisen and Beastars. There will also be categories for voice performances, best boys and girls, direction and much more. The full nominee list can be seen on the official site right here.
In celebration of the event, it has been confirmed who some of the names attending the event will be. The awards will be hosted by Tim Lyu and a 3D Crunchyroll Hime. The stream will also be hosted by YouTubers/podcasters The Anime Man, Gigguk, and CDawgVA of Trash Taste, on Twitch.
The event is sure to be a big one considering the year and obstacles these shows and their creators were forced to overcome. Makes sure to cast your votes for the winner, and don't forget to check out the teaser video for the event below! We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
The 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards will begin this Friday at 5 pm PST on the Crunchyroll homepage!
