Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window is one of the newest announced theatrical anime films based on the well-loved autobiographical children's book by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The film recently unveiled new sneak peeks for fans, including a new key image, a teaser video, and the lead cast member. The film is expected to hit Japanese theaters begining December 8! The creators of the film announced the first casting choice as the young actor, Ririana Ouno, who has been cast in the starring role of Totto-chan!

Along with the casting announcement, Shinnosuke Yakuwa is the director of the Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window film, which was animated by the Shin-Ei Animation studio and has a script by Yakuwa and Yosuke Suzuki with Shizue Kaneko doing the character designs. The book is published in English by Kodansha USA and was translated by Dorothy Britton.
