The crew at MAPPA Studio took over the production of Attack On Titan from Wit Studio for the 4th and final season which premiered in December 2020. Directors include Jun Shihsido and Yūichirō Hayashi, scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko is taking over the series composition, and Tomohiro Kishi is the new character designer. Hiroyuki Sawano is being joined by Kohta Yamamoto to compose the amazing music.
With the Final Season - Part 2 not airing until January, you have plenty of time to review what you may have missed and prep yourself for the grand finale!
In the first season, Eren begins training as a soldier after his mother is suddenly killed by The Titans. He finds that the power to transform into a Titan exists within himself. During his transformation phase a new Titan emerges within the three walls to threaten the existence of humanity.
In the second season, some of the mysteries of the Titans are uncovered and the Survey Corps reels from the reality of destruction and battles from within.
The third season, the corrupt Military Police begin searching for Eren and Historia, the true heir to the thrown and they discover the true origins of The Titans.
The fourth season began with the soldiers of Paradis going to battle with Marley to end the war between his people and the Eldians. Eren trends toward the path of pure destruction in order to destroy his tyrant enemies. The teased action video leaves viewers awaiting the finale and wondering if Eren will be fighting his former allies to the death?!?
This newly released trailer, included below, shows blips into the future of Eren and his comrades without giving away too much of the storyline.
Attack On Titan - The Final Season Part 2 - Episode 76, titled “Danzai” (“Judgment”), will premiere on January 9 in Japan!
