The Inazuma Eleven franchise has probably had some of the most topsy turvy release schedules when it comes to some of its properties of any sports franchise coming out of Japan. The series itself follows a team of young soccer players and their journey to the top against various teams they meet while in their soccer club.
While the anime and manga have been consistent in their successes and releases, their video game branch has been through the wringer; specifically with the consistently delayed Inazuma Eleven: Aries no Tenbin title, which was meant to release in 2018 but has now been delayed to next year.
Another blow to the games has come from their mobile title, Inazuma Eleven SD, which launched at the beginning of this January. Before even concluding a year in service, the developers have announced that the game will be ending its service at the beginning of December.
Any unspent currency in the game will also be refunded after the service concludes. Hopefully, things will start looking brighter for the franchise's games but until then, make sure to share your thoughts in the usual spot.
In the story of both the anime and the game, protagonist Asuto Inamori's soccer club is disbanded after the school's soccer field is destroyed. He and friends go to Tokyo to attend Raimon-chuu (Raimon Junior High) to play soccer. The story is set after the first Inazuma Eleven anime and game.
Inazuma Eleven SD will be ending its service on December 1st!
