PROFESSOR LAYTON AND THE NEW WORLD OF STEAM Video Game Teases Trailer

A new trailer has been released for the newest addition to the Professor Layton series! Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will be visiting North America soon!

It's time to figure out some more conundrums... after all, that's what a true gentleman does!

After parting ways in the game Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, which was released in 2008, Professor Layton and his aide Luke Triton are working together once more. A preview of Professor Layton and the New World of Steam was provided about a month ago, but today we get a more in-depth look into the top-hatted explorer's travels across the United States.

In the new game, Layton is on the defensive as he enters Steam Bison, while Luke has already established himself as a prominent figure in the community through his work as a young private investigator. They will work together to unravel the latest secrets that this peculiar location has to offer.

Check out the trailer for the game below!

Hershel Layton is once again portrayed by Yo Oizumi, while Mio Imada gives a fresh take on the part of Luke (Hinata Tachibana in the Tokyo Revengers live-action films). QuizKnock, a well-known puzzle design studio, is going to be responsible for creating the game's hard new brain teasers.

The new clip also provides a sneak peek at an intriguing gameplay mechanism that will be included into the game's world: the more puzzles you solve, the more the city of Steam Bison, which is known for its cutting-edge technology, will expand.

The first video game in the Professor Layton series was released in 2007, and it was titled Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village. With the completion of both the primary and the prequel trilogies, the franchise continued on with its offshoot games. They included a crossover with the Ace Attorney series, a game starring Layton's daughter Katrielle that was released in 2017, and the iOS game titled "The Layton Brothers." This brand-new game will be the first installment in the series to come out after that time.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will be playable on the Nintendo Switch at a date soon to be announced by the franchise.
