The new fatastically magical anime series Sugar Apple Fairy Tale just released that its English Dub will be premiering Friday, January 20th! The series is based off of the novels written by Miri Mikawa and Aki. The series is going to be directed by Yohei Suzuki with J.C.STAFF studios, character designs will be by Haruko Iizuka, and the music will be written by Inako Tsubakiyama.

The new series seems to be garnering a lot of mixed feelings, especially since the main plot of the story is about Anne, the lead, purchasing a fairy slave named Challe. Some viewers feel that the inclusion of the purchased slave is unneccessary and unethical for the show to portray, while others feel that the show makes sure to try and emphasize the fact that slavery is looked down upon. You will have to watch the series and let us know your thoughts about this topic!

Check out the trailer for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale below!

After her mother dies, Ann makes the decision to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a Silver Sugar Master, a highly esteemed profession in the Highland nation where there aren't many masters of the trade. Ann departs for Lewiston, where the royal family hosts a festival of sugar sculptures. She needs to take first place and be awarded a royal medal in order to become a Silver Sugar Master.

In this planet, people control fairies by stealing one of their wings and treating them like slaves. On her route to Lewiston, Ann unwillingly purchases a fairy named Shall to serve as a bodyguard. Ann is divided between letting Shall go and wanting a bodyguard for the festival's risky roads.
