BLEACH Manga To End With Next Volume

The 73rd volume of Bleach revealed that Tite Kubo's manga will come to a close with the 74th volume. News broke earlier this week that the manga was close to the end but fans are shocked that it was this close.

As previously reported earlier this week, the Bleach manga is nearing the end, however it's safe to say that no one expected the long-running shonen manga to arrive at its conclusion in the very next volume release! But that's exactly what the 73rd volume of the series announced on Monday (still Sunday in the US).  That means Kubo will publish his final Bleach chapter this Fall.

This news is sure to bring mixed emotion for a lot of manga readers.  Once the darling of the shonen genre, nonsensical power-scaling and questionable story developments following the Arrancar arc led many readers to abandon the series.  Kubo began Bleach 15 years ago back in 2001.  A 2004 anime adaptation from Studio Pierrot skyrocketed the series to new heights of fame but just like the manga, the story lost its way after the Arrancar threat was neutralized.
